Job Description

The role of the MTX Operator is to follow the production plans and procedures found in the

controlling documents and verbal work instructions as well as provide high level product

workmanship, provide continuous improvement input, and provide support for planned and

unplanned maintenance events and DOEs, including actions to reduce hazardous conditions. The

MTX Operator will also provide support for investigation of non-conforming events, including

CAPAs and will recognize potential non-conformances and take appropriate action.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Manipulate hand tools and equipment effectively and efficiently.

Perform basic math and computer skills.

Follow all work instructions pertaining to MTX process.

Effective use of wire handling and machinery, as well as electrical testing equipment.

Accurately measure products in process of productions as well as end products.

Use calibrated equipment; effective use of a caliper and other precision equipment

Ability to efficiently and effectively work independantly on product, machine/equipment

set-up, and processes

Work within Manufacturing to maintain and improve products and processes.

Technical ability to program and adjust MN Wire machines and equipment

Maintain workmanship standards as defined in the Minnesota Wire Workmanship

Standards Manual and IPC 620.

Demonstrate proper work center housekeeping and tooling care.

Exhibit a positive attitude and a desire to learn.

Compliance of all Minnesota Wire Safety standards.

Compliance with all Minnesota Wire Policies and regulations, i.e. ISO (International

Standards Organizations), ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)

Experience:

Three to five years of experience or equivalent education and knowledge/capability

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent skills and abilities

Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to understand verbal, written or visual instruction. Ability to work in a

team environment. Ability to effectively communicate with their supervisor.
