This Med/Surg-Telemetry-Pediatrics blended unit offers a rare chance to work across diverse patient populations--from pediatrics to geriatrics--while enjoying the charm and natural beauty of North Dakota.

This facility doesn't have an ICU, which means you'll be part of a strong, collaborative team caring for patients with both standard and higher acuity needs, always within your scope and supported by experienced nursing coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a wide range of patient populations across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics. Assess, monitor, and manage acute and chronic conditions including respiratory illness, infectious diseases, GI issues, diabetes, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, and rehabilitation needs. Interpret and monitor telemetry independently. Titrate drips safely (e.g., insulin, heparin, cardizem, magnesium, potassium). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-focused care. Float to other units as needed without being required to work outside your scope. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatric experience. Valid RN license. Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently. Comfortable managing a broad range of patient acuity levels.

Education

ADN or BSN accepted.

Required Certifications

BLS ACLS PALS

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Experience with titratable drips. Ability to adapt quickly to varied patient types and acuity levels. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, bubble CPAP, and vents. Competency in Meditech charting.
