Position Summary: The MRP Buyer will operate as the gatekeeper for all purchasing responsibilities, policy compliance and adherence to internal controls. This candidate will report directly to the Senior Purchasing Manager and will work in collaboration with the Supply Chain team. Responsibilities include the following: Align product deliveries to minimize inventory while ensuring that production and service schedule needs are being supported in a timely manner. Responsible for all packaging, ingredients and non-inventory purchase orders executed at a high accuracy rate Accountable for setting and maintaining local MRP configurations that support the demand, lead-times and overall risk assessment of each item. Work closely with key stakeholders to analyze data, develop forecasts and maintain a solid balance of sufficient inventory for production needs. Identify and minimize costs through incentivized volume buys by leveraging existing supplier relationships. Manage inventory levels to mitigate excess supplies as well as maintain limited aged inventory Strategically manage and partner with vendors to develop a supply chain strategy for Vendor Managed Inventory Responsible for administering open purchase orders and communicating with vendors to manage on time delivery of materials. Develop, maintain and report department KPI\'s in relation to quality control, vendor delivery performance and cost savings. Assist the SPM with maintaining minimal, non-conformance material issues and request corrective action from vendors. Directly handle vendor communication regarding policies and price negotiations and escalate complex issues to the SPM. Qualifications/Requirements: 3+ years\' experience within a purchasing and or materials planning environment. Demonstrate an ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment (Manufacturing experience a plus) Experience with Indirect spend; cost analysis and sourcing strategy, which supports the business operation (Site services, MRO, Capex and Equipment services). Excellent communication and negotiating skills with a strong business acumen and professional approach. Competent in researching, analyzing, and providing root cause analysis and solutions. Exhibits leadership skills and is comfortable working independently or in a team environment setting. Perform at both a strategic and tactical level within and across the organization. Proficient in MS Office programs, MRP, ERP (Sage) or similar software systems.
