Fairview is hiring for an MRI-CT Tech(Dual Mod)-Cardio
to join our Imaging team at our Fairview Southdale Edina, MN location.
The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and workscollaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Schedule: This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hour day shiffts. This position will not work call or weekends.
DIRECT PATIENT CARE- Maintains patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors
according to protocol.
DATA QUALITY- Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
EDUCATION- Participates as an active team member
Orients and mentors new employees and students
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.
Contributes to a positive work environment
Performs other duties as assigned
OPERATIONAL QUALITY- Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.
Maintains a high level of competency
Accepts new technology as it's introduced into the facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Vocational School Technical training or Associate of Science
5 years experience in adult MRI imaging with frequent interactions and an understanding of cardiovascular medicine
Cardiovascular MRI imaging equipment and post processing platforms
ARRT Registered with MRI certification
Ability to become ARRT registered in back-up modality (CT) within 36 months
Preferred Qualifications
1 year Cardiovascular MRI experience with adults
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Qualifications:
$40.41- $57.05 Hourly
