Summary

We are seeking an experienced

MRI Technician

to join our Radiology Department in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in MRI imaging, patient care, and equipment operation, ensuring the production of high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters to produce accurate cross-sectional images. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and provide education related to MRI procedures. Enter and monitor patient data accurately; ensure all images and associated information are properly transferred to PACS. Follow all radiation and magnetic safety procedures and guidelines. Verify image quality and ensure the correct use of lead markers, patient identification, and clinical history. Maintain MRI equipment in proper working condition; report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Assist in keeping the department clean and organized, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum

2 years

of MRI Technician experience.

Education:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technology program.

Certification:

+ Current

ARRT (MRI)

certification or equivalent.
+ Active

State of Iowa License

(if applicable).
+

BLS (Basic Life Support)

certification required.

Contract (Pay-as-you-go)

Pay Rate:

$62.90 per hour
