: MRI Technologist in Knoxville, TN

Location: Knoxville, TN, 37909

Skills Required:

Expertise in Breast MRI technology.

Perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the breast.

Prepare patients for examinations.

Start IV lines contrast injection.

Position properly on a table.

Collaborate effectively with other MRI technologists.

Oper MRI machines from outside the scanner room.

communicate clearly with patients throughout the procedure.

patient safety during scans.

Provide assistance with breast biopsies guided by MRI imaging.

Must hold ARRT certification.

Responsibilities:

1.

Patient Preparation and Safety:

Screen patient medical history to confirm MRI safety.

Insert IV catheters for contrast injection

Accurately position patients on a padded table.

Explain procedures, address questions, and reassure patients.

Monitor patients' safety during the scan.

2.

Operating the MRI Machine:

Set up and calibrate the MRI machine.

Operate the scanner to acquire high-quality images.

Administer contrast material through IV injection.

3.

Additional Responsibilities:

Collect and document information.

Coordinate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Assist in MRI-guided breast biopsies.

Schedule: Monday to, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. No nights or weekends.
