The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

MRI Technologist

for a

Day Shift permanent

role in Brattleboro, VT. This position plays a key role in delivering accurate MRI imaging that assists physicians in diagnosing and managing complex patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI examinations in alignment with established protocols and radiologist orders. Conduct comprehensive patient screening for MRI safety, including implants, devices, contraindications, and clinical history. Ensure proper patient positioning while maintaining comfort, communication, and safety. Operate MRI scanners and evaluate image quality, making necessary technical adjustments. Maintain MRI equipment and ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, including ACR and MRI Zone protocols. Document examinations, patient data, and clinical information accurately in the EHR. Collaborate with radiologists, nursing teams, and imaging staff to ensure timely and coordinated patient care.

Physical Demands

Standing/walking for extended periods. Lifting/moving MRI equipment (approx. 40-60 lbs). Assist patients onto MRI tables, including those with limited mobility. Maintain situational awareness in strict safety zones.

Qualifications

All of the following are required:

Graduate of a formal AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

ARRT Registry - Required.

MRI Registry - Required.

Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting - Required.

CPR Certification - Required.

Venipuncture Certification - Required.

Active or eligible

Vermont state licensure

(if applicable). Strong technical knowledge of MRI physics, safety, and imaging protocols. Excellent patient-interaction and communication skills.
