The City of Lexington is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join our staff at our Grand Generation Center as a Meals on Wheels Assistant. This full-time position involves a variety of duties including meal preparation, packaging, and working with senior citizens.
Examples of Duties
The MOW Assistant will work with kitchen staff to prepare meals for senior citizens, package meals for Meals on Wheels recipients, and other kitchen duties. Duties will also include cleaning and maintenance of equipment per sanitation guidelines. This individual will be able to follow directions, work well with others, and have good communication skills.
Typical Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Nebraska Drivers License
Supplemental Information
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and extreme heat.
