The duties of
Motorpool Assistant
include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for diagnosis and repair of Head Start buses and KCEOC support vehicles.
Responsible for transporting large inventories of materials to other designated sites.
Assist with general maintenance duties as needed.
Responsible for operating the KCEOC wrecker for towing.
Responsible for purchase of parts and inventory.
Help supervise volunteers, employment services workers, and other non-staff as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Practice safety in all aspects of the job, maintain confidentiality and security of both staff and customers, and adhere to program standards regarding communicable diseases and blood born pathogens.
Cooperatively work with staff, community service providers, funding sources, and other resources to promote agency programs, vision, and goals.
Attend all staff meetings, trainings, other meetings deemed necessary by the supervisor to gain knowledge of programs to ensure effective delivery of services and/or required by the agency; this includes management team and strategic planning.
Maintain necessary records to prepare reports as required through maintenance of databases.
Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the delivery of services made available by related programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and two years' experience in auto and diesel mechanics required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Additional Requirements: Valid Driver's License; reliable transportation; local travel required.
