Job Description

We are seeking an organized, detail oriented and professional mortgage/consumer loan officer to join our growing credit union. In this position, you will be collaborating with our members and alongside our loan department to meet the financial needs of our community. Your duties will include serving our members and processing loans from beginning to end.

The ideal candidate will have loan processing experience as well as an ability to deliver excellent customer service. To succeed in this position, you should have excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities:

Gather necessary information for documentation, analysis, disclosure and underwriting loan applications. Review and process loan applications in a professional and timely manner. Make preliminary determinations of applicant's credit worthiness and eligibility. Input required information into the mortgage loan origination system. Order appraisal and title work. Provide borrower compliance information and disclosures. Prepare and provide Loan Estimate (LE) within regulatory guidelines. Prepare Closing Disclosure (CD) and prepare borrower for closing. Stay up to date on all programs, compliance, and investor guidelines and changes that will affect the borrower and Affinity First Federal Credit Union. Provide financial advice and service to members/ potential members. Respond to applicant's questions and resolve any loan-related issues. Operate in compliance with all laws and regulations. Create and maintain member relationships to develop new and existing business Assist with consumer lending and processing Assist with collection of past due accounts Additional job-related duties
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor's degree is a plus, but not required Experience is required Knowledge and/or willingness to learn the local, state, and federal loan regulations Exceptional communication and people skills Exceptional customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
