Boykin Home Mortgage is offering an exciting opportunity to both experienced and new Mortgage Loan Originators! We are looking for individuals with drive, determination, and a strong desire to succeed and help others. This position is for individuals who are looking to work smart and play often, all while having unlimited earnings potential!

Primary Responsibilities

• Generate new loan originations through outside sales efforts including but not limited to: inbound calls direct from consumer, realtors, community activities, business referral partnerships, online application referrals, company referrals, etc.
• Guide borrowers through the loan application process
• Collect and analyze prospective buyer income, assets and liabilities, and loan application documents to determine creditworthiness
• Effectively discuss loan options
• Provide information on interest rates and terms
• Negotiate mortgage pricing and terms
• Respond to customer inquiries and other related parties to the transaction as needed

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED, bachelors, or associates degree preferred.
• Current NMLS State license.
• Knowledge of computers including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Possess excellent team skills.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions, schedules, and timelines.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain a good attitude, takes ownership to meet customer needs, goes above and beyond for customers, uses positive communication, and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Good organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Outside the office. Working on a computer and making/taking calls.
