Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Mortgage Intern is a part of Gold Star's cross training program. The purpose of the program is to educate new hires on the operational side of the mortgage lending industry. This program will provide a variety of learning experiences across multiple departments within our corporate sales office. Interns will gain a foundational understanding of internal processes and support functions through real-time learning experiences across multiple corporate sales departments and make sales calls.

PRIMARY POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop a strong understanding of the mortgage loan process and lending industry guidelines Make calls and connections with our customer base Provide timely, professional customer service support via phone and email Monitor and manage user credentials and access levels for internal systems and web Learn and adhere to Gold Star's policies, procedures, and industry's best practices Participate in department cross-training and job shadowing opportunities Support various departments by assisting with overflow tasks and special projects Complete additional duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of relevant experience in process improvement or customer service Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Dependable and proactive in meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks
