Job Title: Montessori Teaching Assistant

Location: Tampa, Florida

Salary: $25,000-$35,000/year (Depends on experience)
Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Job Summary:

Life International Academy the world's first life-skills-based Montessori school, is seeking a

Montessori Teaching Assistant

to support our Lead Teachers in providing a nurturing, peaceful, and purposeful learning environment. The ideal candidate will have prior Montessori school experience, a passion for working with young children, and a commitment to supporting their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Montessori Teacher in planning lessons and creating hands-on materials Assist in setting up classroom supplies and maintaining a clean, organized space Observe and support individual student needs under the guidance of the Lead Teacher Guide students in literacy, math, and practical life skills through small group and one-on-one instruction Maintain a calm, respectful classroom tone aligned with Montessori principles Adapt and personalize support for students with diverse learning needs, including autism Participate in classroom organization, preparation, and care for the learning environment Communicate professionally and compassionately with students, staff, and families

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in related field Experience working in a Montessori school setting A sincere interest in Montessori philosophy and child-led learning Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented Eager to grow, training and professional development available to further your Montessori education into a lead position. Excellent communication and a calm presence Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
