Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuously observing patient cardiac rhythms and vital signs, ensuring prompt recognition of abnormalities, and providing critical data to the medical team. This role is vital in supporting patient safety and effective clinical decision-making within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment such as a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center. Prior experience in interventional radiology, cardiology, or emergency medicine is highly valued.

Duties



Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for patients in various units, including telemetry, cath labs, and emergency departments Recognize arrhythmias, ischemic changes, and other abnormal findings promptly and accurately Document patient data meticulously in electronic health records Communicate critical findings to nursing staff and physicians immediately for appropriate intervention Assist with diagnostic evaluations related to cardiac and vascular conditions Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures and interactions Support the clinical team during interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology cases Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, including anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and medical terminology standards Participate in ongoing education related to interventional cardiology, sonography, and emergency medicine practices

Requirements



Certification or experience in telemetry monitoring; familiarity with interventional radiology, cardiology, or emergency medicine preferred Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environment is highly desirable Proficiency in vital signs monitoring, aseptic technique, and patient safety protocols Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and coordinate rapid response efforts Prior experience with cath lab procedures and interventional cardiology is advantageous Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations within a fast-paced hospital setting

Pay: Up to $1,528.00 per week
