About Us

My Advanced Lab is a fast-growing high-complexity diagnostic laboratory specializing in molecular PCR testing and in-house blood testing. With expanding physician partnerships and increasing daily volumes, we are looking for a motivated

Molecular Technician

who wants to take ownership of testing quality and be part of a lab advancing rapidly in capability and scale.

This role offers exposure to leadership, validation work, workflow development, quality initiatives, and the opportunity to advance for the right candidate.

Core Testing Duties

Perform

end-to-end molecular diagnostic testing

, including: Sample preparation Nucleic acid extraction PCR setup and plate layout Real-time PCR analysis using Bio-Rad CFX384 Result interpretation and documentation Run multiplex clinical panels such as:

RPP, STI, Women's Health, UTI + ABR, Gastrointestinal, Wound, and Nail

Follow established SOPs for: Pipetting and contamination control Reagent management Instrument workflows and cycling programs Accurately document work in

Stratus LIS

and batch sheets.

Operational Ownership

Maintain instrument readiness (Bio-Rad CFX384, extraction systems, workstations). Monitor QC trends and promptly escalate issues. Participate in assay validation and workflow improvement projects. Maintain a clean, organized, contamination-free workspace.

Experience

Minimum 2 years hands-on clinical molecular laboratory experience

Experience beyond COVID-only testing

Technical Ability

Expert pipetting accuracy

multiplex assays

(e.g., STI, UTI, RPP, etc.)
? Strong contamination awareness and problem-solving mindset

Education

? Minimum

Bachelor's degree

in:

Medical Laboratory Technology Molecular Biology Biology or related field
?

ASCP or AMT certification preferred

(MB or MLT/MDT)

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to clinical molecular panels beyond SARS-CoV-2 Experience assisting in validation studies or SOP creation Desire to grow into mentorship or supervisory responsibility
