Overview

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics injection molding and possess a variety of technical skills necessary for operating and maintaining injection molding machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate and monitor injection molding machines to ensure optimal production quality and efficiency. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for setup and adjustments of molds. Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing principles and improve production processes. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper materials handling practices are followed. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in plastics injection molding; knowledge of plastics blow molding and extrusion is a plus. Familiarity with CNC machinery, including CNC lathe operations, is highly desirable. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex machinery and manufacturing processes. Experience with press brake machines and assembly operations is beneficial. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Previous warehouse experience is an advantage, particularly in a manufacturing setting. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
