Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Mold Remediator to join our team as a 1099 contractor. This role includes both mold inspections and mold remediation in residential and commercial properties throughout Northern New Jersey. You must be dependable, certified, and able to respond to project calls with 24-48 hours' notice.
Duties
Perform mold inspections, moisture assessments, and documentation
Complete full mold remediation tasks including containment setup, HEPA filtration, cleaning, and removal
Conduct on-site evaluations to determine the scope of work
Use PPE and safety equipment properly at all times
Set up negative air machines, dehumidifiers, and HEPA vacuums
Remove contaminated materials safely and legally
Keep accurate records, photos, and notes for each job
Communicate clearly with supervisors and clients when needed
Maintain a professional work ethic and clean job sites
Requirements
Prior experience in mold remediation or restoration work
Ability to perform both inspection and remediation tasks independently
Reliable transportation to job sites across Northern NJ
Valid driver's license
Ability to be on-call with 24-48 hours' notice
Must be comfortable working in PPE, attics, basements, crawl spaces, and affected environments
Ability to work legally as a 1099 independent contractor
