? About the Role

As the
Mockingbird Family Supervisor
, you will oversee the development, fidelity, and effectiveness of Mockingbird Family Constellations. You'll guide and support the Mockingbird Family Liaison, ensuring the core principles of the model are consistently upheld to promote the health, safety, growth, and permanence of children and adolescents. You will supervise staff in both the Topeka, KS and Kansas City Metro area.
This role is perfect for a seasoned child welfare professional who thrives on collaboration, coaching, and creating strong support systems for caregivers and youth.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary expert and guardian of
Mockingbird Family fidelity
across all implementation efforts.
Attend planning meetings and caregiver recruitment events to ensure fidelity remains central in every step.
Collaborate closely with KVC leadership, providing insight and updates on protocol development, training plans, and Constellation progress.
Participate in
three out of twelve
Constellation meetings annually.
Coach the Mockingbird Family Liaison on community resources, KVC policy, operating protocols, and key fidelity expectations.
Provide support to Constellations as needed, including attending meetings and ensuring fidelity is prioritized in agendas and discussions.
Partner with KVC Marketing & Communications to promote Mockingbird Family opportunities to foster parents.
Communicate with child welfare teams to reinforce collaborative decision-making and ensure consistent application of the model's principles.
Support staff during turnover by briefing new child welfare workers on the Mockingbird Family model.
Attend all required meetings, trainings, consultations, Hub Home trainings, and Fidelity Assessment Reviews.
Maintain ongoing communication with KVC staff and Hub Homes, offering clear guidance and support focused on fidelity.
Minimum Requirements
------------------------
21 years of age or older
Bachelor's degree
from an accredited college/university in a field licensable by the
BSRB
Kansas BSRB Licensure
Valid driver's license
and auto insurance
5+ years of child welfare experience
Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
Commitment to upholding model fidelity and supporting caregivers and children
