We are seeking a dependable and medically experienced
Mobile Clinic Bus Driver
to join our team and support our providers as we expand access to care for residents in independent living, assisted living, and senior care centers.
Position Summary
The Mobile Clinic Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting and operating our medical clinic bus, ensuring that the unit is set up, functioning, and ready for patient care each day. This role requires someone who is mechanically knowledgeable, highly reliable, and comfortable assisting the medical team with basic clinical tasks as needed.
This is not a standard driving position -- the ideal candidate has both
transportation and medical/clinical experience
, as they play a key role in supporting daily workflow and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Mobile Unit Operations
Safely drive and transport the mobile medical clinic bus to scheduled senior living communities across the DFW metroplex.
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting mechanical or operational issues.
Operate onboard equipment and systems (electrical, HVAC, generator, stabilization systems, lift/ramp, etc.) and ensure the clinic is ready for use.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness of the mobile unit.
Mechanical & Technical Support
Assist with minor troubleshooting, basic maintenance checks, and reporting repair needs.
Monitor fuel, tire pressure, water tanks, generator performance, and HVAC systems.
Communicate any mechanical concerns immediately to leadership and maintenance partners.
Medical & Clinical Support
Assist providers and clinical staff with setup, patient flow, and basic medical tasks as allowed.
Help move supplies, restock closets, and support safe patient entry and exit into the mobile clinic.
Understand and follow HIPAA and infection-control protocols.
Provide general support during wound care, podiatry visits, and diagnostic venous therapy sessions (non-clinical duties only unless certified).
Qualifications
Required
Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving large vehicles such as buses, RVs, shuttles, or box trucks.
Prior healthcare experience (CNA, MA, EMT, technician, or similar).
Ability to assist elderly patients safely.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with technical equipment.
Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
Preferred
CDL (not required but highly preferred).
Experience working in senior living, home health, or mobile medical services.
Familiarity with wound care, podiatry, or vascular/venous procedures (training provided).
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs (supplies and equipment).
Ability to stand, bend, and assist with patient mobility.
Ability to climb in/out of the bus and operate ramps and lift systems.
