We are seeking an experienced and dynamic part time Millwork Bakery Manager based at our new retail location. This person will co-manage, (with our existing part time Manager), daily operations at our bustling bakery and cafe . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, food or retail expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing food and drink preparation, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient operations to create a welcoming environment for guests. The Bakery/Cafe Manager will play a key role in maintaining high-quality food service and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
Manage food and drink preparation processes.
Supervise staff training, recruitment, and scheduling to optimize team performance
Handle POS transactions, including cash handling and reconciliation
Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Implement quality control measures to uphold product consistency and customer satisfaction
Manage shift operations, including opening, closing, and overseeing service periods
Train staff on food handling, safety procedures, customer service excellence, and operational standards
Assist in growing the business by the introduction of online ordering and partnering with local businesses.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food and/or retail service management.
Strong background in a service industry or customer service environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a service industry.
Knowledge of inventory control, food safety standards, and food industry best practices
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience in managing staff training & development programs is preferred
Computer proficient with skills using Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
