. This person provides front-desk customer service, Transition Assistance Program (TAP) data entry, records management, and program support for the Military & Family Readiness Center. The role is mission-critical to ensuring service members and their families receive timely, accurate, and welcoming support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide front desk reception and triage calls, emails, and visitors; direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
Maintain a welcoming environment in the Discovery Center, ensuring systems are refreshed and customer information cleared.
Perform data entry and records management in systems including AFFIRST and DODTAP.
Create, edit, and manage correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, calendars, and files.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports; consolidate data and ensure accuracy.
Proofread/edit documents for correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
Support the Transition Assistance Program with timely customer intake and data uploads.
Requisition office supplies and maintain file plans.
Provide information and referrals on M&FRC programs and services.
Support Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) reception during real-world activations or exercises during duty hours.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and general office automation tools.
Knowledge of clerical procedures: correspondence, filing, mail processing, and recordkeeping.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to prepare reports, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to learn and work in AFFIRST and DODTAP database systems.
Eligible for base and network access, including background checks.
Willingness to complete required Information Security, OPSEC, and records management training.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in military or government administrative support.
Familiarity with Air Force or Space Force terminology and family readiness programs.
Experience with data entry and customer service in a structured office environment.
Compliance & Security
Must comply with base security, traffic, and conduct regulations.
Must safeguard government property, records, and sensitive information.
Required to wear professional business casual attire and display a name tag while on duty.
Prohibited from carrying weapons or receiving outside compensation for services provided.
Work Schedule
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM MST with a one-hour lunch between 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
