Our Healthcare Insurance client is seeking a Mid-Level Product Designer to join their team for a contract to hire role! Health care is changing, and our client is leading the way by providing innovative solutions that simplify the health care system, improve efficiency and outcomes, and help rein in costs. Our client is a not-for-profit with headquarters in Durham, NC. Within this role as a Product Designer you will be an active partner with our business stakeholders, helping prioritize work based on the value it will deliver, and creating intuitive and visually compelling experiences for our customers, including members, agents, employers, and providers.

Contract Duration: Contract to Hire
Location: ** While the position is Remote, work from home, to be eligible to convert to an employee of this company, you must reside in North Carolina or one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on digital products.
  • Proficiency in visual design and the ability to create aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
  • Experience participating in and facilitating user research initiatives using Userzoom or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex user needs into intuitive design solutions.
  • Familiarity with design best practices, including accessibility standards and responsive design principles. Ability to self-direct in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency with Figma including auto layout is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise, B2B, SAAS is a plus
What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

We are seeking a creative, experienced intermediate or mid-level Product Designer looking to make a meaningful impact on the health insurance industry. The right candidate will have a strong emphasis on UX design and proficiency in visual design and the ability to switch between tactical and strategic efforts. The ideal candidate should have a history of delivering great experiences for users in complex environments and a deep understanding of the business outcomes we\'re driving towards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to define product requirements and create user-centered design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
  • Participate in and facilitate user research initiatives, working closely with our UX Researchers to ensure user needs and pain points are identified, documented, and translated into design solutions.
  • Create visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces that align with our brand and accessibility guidelines, leveraging your understanding of human psychology and design principles.
  • Participate in usability testing and incorporate user feedback into design iterations to optimize user experiences.
  • Maintain design consistency and ensure seamless interaction between all touchpoints within the customer journey. Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and techniques, and incorporate best practices into the design process.
  • Share best practices and foster a culture of design excellence through participation in design critique and pair design.
