Mid-Level Full Stack Developer - JAVA/DevOps

Position Description
CGI needs a Mid-Level Developer (Java/AWS/Microservices) to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations: Columbia, SC; Knoxville, TN or Lafayette, LA. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical location. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they must be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

Project Pitch

Your future duties and responsibilities
We seek a strong Full Stack Developer with AWS to work on real implementations in a highly dynamic, fast-paced Agile environment.

• Develop AWS deployment automation services for various security-related applications and tools.
• Design, build, test, deploy and support the deployment of tools in AWS.
• Program with Angular and Java, J2EE, XML, and Web Services
• Develop distributed application environments (Database, Transaction Management)
• Write conceptual and detailed design documents and develop large-scale enterprise applications following an Agile execution model
• Development/programming experience in Java, AWS, and Angular
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Takes accountability/ownership for the assigned tasks/deliverable

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 5-8 years of AWS Full Stack Developer - Java/Angular and Microservices experience
• Mid-level enterprise-level Java developer with excellent backend integration experience
• 5+ years of hands on Spring MVC/Springboot/Hibernate
• Develop AWS deployment automation services for various security related applications and tools.
• Design, build, test, deploy and support the deployment of tools in AWS.
• Good experience in DevOps - Building Pipeline
• 3+ years of programming experience with Angular
• Experiences in full life cycle AGILE application/system development
• Experience with creating and consuming both SOAP-based and RESTful Web Services
• Experience developing in distributed application environments (Database, Transaction Management)
• Experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents and developing large-scale enterprise applications following an Agile execution model
• Strong Development/programming experience in Java, AWS, Angular, Microservices is mus
• Experience with Application integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, ESB, JMS, File/Data transfers, etc.)
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Good communication and collaboration skills, team player
• Takes accountability/ownership for the assigned tasks/deliverable
• Familiar with GIT repositories (Bit Bucket) and Agile Methodology/SCRUM/Kanban

Candidate must be local to the DC Metro area for an on-site visit.

Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,700 .00 - $146,900.00
