About Pineland Learning Center
Pineland Learning Center is an NJDOE Approved Private School for Students with Disabilities, serving learners ages 5-21 for over 45 years in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Our program emphasizes consistent supervision and proactive structure, ensuring students are always supported by attentive PLC staff. Through a multidisciplinary team approach, educators, clinicians, paraprofessionals, and crisis prevention specialists collaborate to provide coordinated academic, therapeutic, and behavioral support grounded in positive behavior management principles.

Required Certification (Read Before You Apply!)

Current NJDOE Teaching Certification required in one of the Middle School subject matter areas for grades 5-8 (CE, CEAS, Provisional, or Standard).

We are unable to consider applications for teaching positions until at least a CE or CEAS has been issued. Out of state applicants must already have the relevant certifications issued by the state of New Jersey, due to stringent reciprocity requirements.

Position Overview

Pay: Annual salary starting at $53,000 and above, dependent on candidate experience, education (certifications/advanced degrees), and content area/age group taught Term: 10-month academic year Summer Employment: Possible ESY role (separate agreement, contingent on need) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Position Type: Full-time, exempt

Deliver instruction aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards Implement accommodations per students' IEPs, lead IEP meetings, and monitor academic and behavioral outcomes Integrate technology and evidence-based behavior support strategies to promote success Collaborate with paraprofessionals, clinicians, and crisis intervention specialists to ensure holistic progress
