B.A. or B.S. degree in Physical Education or related field
Ability to pass the Illinois Criminal Background Check

Elementary Physical Education Teacher - St. John's Lutheran School (Chicago, IL)
St. John's Lutheran School is hiring a dedicated and faith-driven Elementary Physical Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher will develop and implement engaging PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of movement, all within a Christ-centered framework.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and teaching age-appropriate PE lessons for elementary students Promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and Christian character through physical activity Organizing and supervising physical education classes Maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all students Collaborating with staff and communicating with parents Assisting with school events and extracurricular activities when needed
Experience coaching or leading school sports programs is a plus.
