About the Role

We're looking for a

Maintenance Technician

to help maintain and improve our Florence properties. This full-time, on-site position runs

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

, with an

on-call rotation one week per month

.

What You'll Do

Work Orders & Property Maintenance (60%)

Troubleshoot basic plumbing, light electrical, and light HVAC issues Complete painting, repairs, and general upkeep to high standards Manage work orders via iPhone app, prioritizing and escalating tasks as needed Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards Assist with inventory and maintain an organized workspace

Communication & Collaboration (15%)

Keep residents, vendors, and team members informed on progress Coordinate with property management and vendors to complete work efficiently Contribute to a positive resident experience through clear communication

On-Call Responsibilities (5%)

Respond to emergencies during scheduled after-hours shifts (one week per month)

Additional Duties (20%)

Address interruptions or unplanned maintenance needs promptly Support team objectives and uphold Uptown's service standards

? What You'll Need

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record 1+ year of experience in make-ready, property maintenance, or a similar role Comfort with hand tools and moderate-to-heavy physical demands (lift 50-100+ lbs, climb ladders, stand ~90% of the workday) Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude
