Position Summary:

Marshall Health Network is seeking a

full-time Biomedical Equipment Technician I (Bio Med Tech I)

to join our team. This role is responsible for performing complex testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures on a wide variety of biomedical equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all hospital-owned and leased medical equipment is maintained in a safe, functional, and regulatory-compliant condition.



This is a highly technical role that requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex testing and troubleshooting on biomedical equipment using technical schematics, manufacturer standards, and specialized testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes). Maintain accurate records using work order and equipment management software for inventory and preventive maintenance tracking. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols for all biomedical equipment. Provide technical support and recommendations to clinical staff and leadership across the Marshall Health Network. Maintain both hospital-owned and leased medical equipment in optimal working condition. Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical engineering and maintenance issues across departments.
Requirements:

Education:

Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or related technical discipline required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Experience:

* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician required.
