The

Automatic Jacket Machine Operator

will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Review program specifications, work instructions, or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, or numerical control sequences. Operate machine tool equipment as assigned, and load or unload material, i.e. blanks into machinery. As required, sets stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes. Monitor machine operation for correct feed length and ejection of parts and waste. Conduct first piece and in process quality inspection, verify dimensions using micrometer, template, straightedge, or scale. Record data on piece inspection report. Confer with supervision or engineers to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors, and to obtain approval to continue production. Perform minor machine maintenance, such as cleaning machines, dies, or work pieces. Follow all safety procedures, while maintaining good housekeeping in work area. Practice and support Rheem values with internal, as well as external customers. May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions; ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs. Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs. Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs. Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift. Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
