We are seeking a detail-oriented and self motivated

Laboratory Technician

to join our metallurgical lab team. The ideal candidate will assist with the preparation, testing, and analysis of metal samples to support failure investigations, material characterization, and quality control programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare metallographic samples using cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing techniques Perform microscopic examination of metals for grain structure, inclusions, and other features Conduct hardness testing, tensile testing, and other mechanical property evaluations Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (optical microscope, hardness testers, saws, etc.) Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lab standards Support senior metallurgists and engineers with special testing projects and reports Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment

Possible Qualifications:

Previous laboratory or materials testing experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry Excellent communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with ASTM standards and metallurgical lab practices is a plus

Hours 9-5 M/F

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
