JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is part of POET Bioproducts - the POET business responsible for the marketing and logistics for our suite of distillers grains and distillers corn oil products. It is our role at POET Bioproducts to market and transport, as efficiently as possible, our high-quality products from our bio-processing facilities to our valued customers who happen to be located all over the globe. We use trucks, trains, barges, containers and ocean vessels to make this happen. As a Merchandiser it will be your role to effectively manage a portfolio by representing the value of Dakota Gold distillers grains and develop strong customer relationships that are built on trust. Not an expert on animal feed? Don't worry. If you are an effective communicator, fearless, enjoy solving problems, a good team player, and are looking for an opportunity with a strong, growing company in an exciting industry, we can provide you all the necessary training and tools to be successful.


This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD. Responsibilities include:

Communicate with customers to gain an understanding of their needs and expectations. Research various market factors to determine sales and pricing strategy. Understand activities at the bioprocessing facilities to manage inventory and quality. Write sales contracts. Develop new markets and find new customers. Promote and represent the value of Dakota Gold products. Maintain a high level of customer service. Study the latest data on the value of Dakota Gold in a feed ration. Travel to visit our customers and partner locations. Since we're all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!
