Job Description

M.S. Walker has an immediate opening for a full-time Merchandiser to call on retail accounts in the Southern and Central NH area. The Merchandiser role is an ideal entry-level opportunity for anyone interested in learning the wine and spirts industry, while getting excellent exposure to sales, operations, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities:

• Daily travel to meet vehicles for deliveries/drops, and to visit with list of accounts in territory to determine possible and/or scheduled merchandising needs
• Places proper point-of-sale materials on merchandise items in-store
• Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Merchandising Manager
• Constructs or assembles prefabricated display properties from wood, fabric, glass, paper, and plastic
• Coordinate product tastings and coupon/rebate displays
• Report to management regarding inventory levels, marketing and sales trends, and customer feedback
• Attend monthly sales meeting
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Candidate must live within assigned territory as there will be frequent travel required
• Age 21+ required
• Ability to lift and move product of up to 45lbs
• Knowledge of wine, merchandising standards, and/or retail operations helpful
• Outgoing and motivated self-starter with strong communication skills
• Customer service oriented
