The Mental Health Worker II will:

Follow the plan of care as directed by RN. Communicate information to the appropriate places. Perform safe patient care, adhering to the Policies and Procedures of Springfield Hospital. Take responsibility for maintaining and increasing knowledge base in area of practice. Assist in the management of the milieu to ensure safety and a therapeutic environment. Lead patient groups independently. Train new employees, interns, and students.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent One (1) year as mental health worker or equivalent Six (6) months' employment at the Windham Center for Psychiatric Care CPR certified Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training Anger Management skills training Group leadership skills Competency Training in Vital Sign Assessment & ADL assistance Competency Training in the use of the Emergency Restraint Chair, S-Cut Tool, Halligan Bar (within 3 months of hire)*
