We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals and families. This role requires a strong foundation in various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling. The Mental Health Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and challenges.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including dance therapy and behavioral therapy.
Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health treatment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and support.
Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ethical standards.
Offer support and counseling for gender issues, special education needs, and addiction recovery.
Facilitate workshops or support groups focused on mental health awareness and coping strategies for children and families.
Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
Requirements
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or equivalent certification.
Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques, including psychotherapy and behavioral therapy.
Knowledge of addiction counseling principles is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mental health.
