Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Provide direct support through individual and group therapy sessions.
Utilize applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy techniques as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress using ICD-9 medical terminology.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Offer Christian counseling when requested by clients seeking faith-based support.
Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent in the state of practice.
Experience in mental health counseling, particularly with pediatrics, is preferred.
Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
