Job Description

The Therapist or counselor will provide services to clients who need mental health services in a therapeutic setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide counseling sessions to clients as per recommended frequency. Maintain appropriate documentation in a timely and organized fashion. Provide appropriate evaluations as needed. Identify and provide emergency crisis services as necessary or coordinate other services as appropriate. Provide and arrange therapeutic interventions for clients in a crisis condition. Participate in agency training as required. Attend all scheduled supervision meetings. Follow all agency policies and procedure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to apply mental health counseling methods and techniques. Knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, crisis intervention and techniques. Appropriate computer literacy. Fluently Bilingual in English and Spanish (mustly speak English)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be Registered Intern:

Mental Health or Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in

Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related Human Services field

. Is a plus if is Bilingual in English and Spanish.
