Established in 1987, CARES Northwest is an accredited member of the National Children\xe2\x80\x99s Alliance whose mission is to stop child abuse and neglect through multidisciplinary prevention, medical evaluation, and ongoing treatment in partnership with our community. The program is a unique collaboration of four health systems \xe2\x80\x93 Randall Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, OHSU\xe2\x80\x99s Doernbecher Children\'s Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence Children\xe2\x80\x99s Health. As a Children\xe2\x80\x99s Advocacy Center, CARES Northwest works closely with child abuse multidisciplinary partners in Multnomah and Washington counties. The evaluation model is based on master\xe2\x80\x99s level mental health providers, including forensic interviewers, working in partnership with medical examiners to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan for each child. Advocating for over 39,000 children in its 32-year history, CARES Northwest is a crucial element of our region\xe2\x80\x99s ability protect our community\xe2\x80\x99s children and promote their healing.

Responsibilities

Interviews, assesses and evaluates patients and families who present for trauma therapy; provides professional counseling and treatment with the goal of maximizing personal/familial functioning.

Qualifications

Education:

Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in related field required.

Experience:

2 years post degree clinical experience.
