Hours:
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, primarily early evenings, weekends and some optional day events. Staff will be able to select their shifts/events from an ongoing list created by GSME.
What does a Membership Recruitment Specialist do?
Engage potential girl members, their caregivers, and prospective adult volunteers by presenting the benefits and impact of Girl Scouting, while delivering inclusive, pre-planned activities at community-based events.
Register girl members and adult volunteers as new Girl Scout members, assisting them through the registration process on-site.
Works collaboratively with Membership Administrative Coordinator, volunteer recruiters, and other staff to fulfill goals for each event.
Tracks and reports information such as event attendance and on-site membership registration numbers through a standardized process.
Prep for and follow up on events, including data entry and supply management
Represent GSME with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Requirements:
Experience with proven recruitment and/or sales results.
Comfortable with public speaking and interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds while facilitating activities.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Computer literacy, including Outlook and Excel basics
Ability to take initiative, prioritize effectively, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
Dependable, organized, and professional.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and protect confidential information
Knowledge of and commitment to fostering a work environment that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, racial justice, and belonging
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively
Must possess a valid driver's license, have reliable personal transportation for business use, and be insurable under GSME's policy.
Ability and willingness to perform tasks that involve the ability to exert physical effort, which may include some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 25 pounds).
