GENERAL FUNCTION

Monitor and supervise the YMCA facilities. The focus of the job is ensuring satisfaction and well-being of those using the YMCA.

KNOW-HOW / QUALIFICATIONS

Required ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions. No prior experience necessary will train the right person. Responsible for minor decisions regarding routine problems where precedents have been established. Requires considerable attention and alertness with frequent periods of concentration. Personality traits must include the four core values of the YMCA; Respect, Honesty, Caring, and Responsibility. The MEA-S must also be dependable, friendly, and display self-initiative, maturity, tactfulness and good judgment is needed to handle supervision problems, issues and concerns. Human relations skills very important. Requires medium physical effort such as frequent setting up heavy equipment or lifting and carrying of heavy loads. Must be willing to get certified in CPR and First Aid.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

Assists the Program Directors with operation of programs within the building regarding setting up equipment and tearing down. Supervise the YMCA. Will work closely with the Membership Director. Perform spot maintenance on any spills, trash or issues that need to be cleaned up. Responsible for security and safety during your shift and will be closing the building to ensure all lights, doors and water is shut off. Perform nightly maintenance in the Fitness Center. Maintain and wash the towels and keep the front desk stocked. Enforced the YMCA policies and procedures for youth in locker rooms, youth in Fitness Center, inappropriate behavior and anything else that may arise. Wear your YMCA T-shirt and badge at all times. Ensure communication with the MSA Staff with the walkie talkie at all times. Direct Supervisor of the Member Experience Associate team. Any other work deemed necessary by the Membership Director.

Strengthening relationships is the key to our success. Maintain good communication with all members and guests in the building. Build more relationships with members and guests. Ensure a great relationship with all program participants and fans.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.82 - $12.47 per hour
