Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our Assisted Living Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medication administration and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and caring attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Medication Management:

Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies regarding medication administration. Maintain detailed and accurate records of medications administered and monitor residents for any adverse reactions. Manage the medication supply, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring proper storage of medications. Assist in the development and implementation of resident care plans related to medication management.

Resident Care:

Assist with personal care needs of residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the Resident Care Coordinators. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment. Assist Resident Care Coordinators in managing daily operations, including coordinating care plans, communicating with families, and conducting resident assessments. Participate in training and development programs for care staff to ensure high standards of care and service delivery.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medication administration in a senior living, assisted living, or similar healthcare environment. Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and state regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and caring attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with resident transfers and mobility. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Capacity to handle the physical demands of resident care and medication administration.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
