Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our patients, ensuring they receive their medications safely and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care protocols and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare setting, whether in assisted living, home care, or medical office environments.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Assist with catheter care and tube feeding for patients requiring additional support. Provide hospice care and support to patients and their families during challenging times. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting medication administration and any changes in condition. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Offer compassionate patient care, focusing on the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and best practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Certification or training as a Medication Aide or similar role is highly desirable.
