Background/Role Summary:

Reporting to the Bid Strategy Director, this role will be responsible for driving and supporting Medicare Advantage bid goals and strategy by producing and maintaining value add analytics to inform decision making, goal setting, and overall bid strategy. They will support the creation and deployment of standardized reporting to aid in optimizing our bid strategy, with a heavy focus on supplemental benefits. Additionally, they will develop and maintain reporting requirements to ensure adherence with submission requirements of Part C Benefit Utilization and Costs to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

This is a multifaceted role, including project management, technical analysis, and long-term prioritization. The roles will work continually with matrix partners over the life cycle of the bid to evolve the business to ensure analytics and reporting needs are met to aid in driving strategic decision making for the long-term strategy of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports near and long-term analytics of Cigna Medicare Advantage bids development, including development and deployment of utilization and cost reports across plan level benefits.
  • Partner with Product to drive Supplemental Benefit Strategy in coordination with yearly bids process.
  • Owns source of truth for bid reporting for supplemental benefit utilization and costs.
  • Serve as the owner and subject matter expert for all standardized Bid Analytics Reporting and train and support stakeholders in using them.
  • Create automation and self-serve capabilities for reporting suite.
  • Works in strong partnership with Product, Actuary, Sales & Marketing, and others to define reporting needs and drive insights for benefit decisions.
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests from Product, Actuary, Sales & Marketing, and others on an as needed basis.
  • Supports evaluation and implementation of strategic initiatives to inform our Medicare Advantage annual bids.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key department stakeholders (between Business Optimization Office, Product, Actuary, Stars, etc.) across teams, functions, and locations to enhance reporting opportunities and improve processes.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Medicare Advantage bid experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Teradata, SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Python, RStudio, and SAS experience a plus.
  • Ability to identify gaps and define reporting needs and execute on them in partnership with the Bid Strategy Senior Advisor and Bid Strategy Director.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with immediate team members, business partners, and customers.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
