Job Description

A Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions or those recovering from surgical procedures. The Med Surg RN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and vital signs Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies Manage pre- and post-operative patient care Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans Utilize critical thinking to respond to patient changes Ensure accurate and timely charting in EMR systems Perform wound care, catheter care, NG tube management, drains, and other bedside skills Maintain patient safety and infection control standards Assist with discharge planning and care coordination

Requirements

Active RN License (state-specific)

Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med Surg experience

- Required BLS certification - Required ACLS - Preferred (varies by facility) Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to handle high patient ratios in a busy unit
Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,400.00 per week
