You will work directly with a wound care surgeon and may be cross-trained to support our Emergency Department team. Key Responsibilities:
Document patient encounters in the electronic health record for a wound care surgeon.
Accurately chart histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans.
Ensure documentation and billing compliance.
Assist with patient flow by relaying information between clinicians, staff, and patients.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
Support quality assurance and chart review processes.
Requirements:
Some college required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or a clinical career path.
Ability to type 60 words per minute or faster.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a clinical setting.
Biology, health sciences, or related coursework preferred.
