Duties



Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient information efficiently. Assist healthcare providers by capturing vital signs, chief complaints, history of present illness, physical exam findings, and treatment plans in real-time. Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Demonstrate a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret provider instructions and patient data. Support the clinical team by preparing documentation for billing, coding, and future reference. Collaborate effectively with medical staff to ensure seamless workflow during busy clinic hours or emergency situations. Perform transcription tasks with precision using typing skills that support rapid documentation without sacrificing quality. Participate in ongoing training on EMR/EHR systems to enhance efficiency and adapt to evolving healthcare technology. Assist in managing medical records requests and ensuring timely retrieval for legal or administrative purposes.

Experience



Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR or EHR systems used in clinical settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and general medical documentation standards. Excellent transcription skills with high accuracy and attention to detail. Familiarity with medical records management processes and confidentiality protocols. Experience in emergency room settings is a plus, providing exposure to fast-paced clinical environments requiring quick thinking and adaptability. Ability to type quickly while maintaining precision under pressure is essential for success in this role.
