Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine seeks an experienced Medical Receptionist/Scheduler with proven competency and success. (Additional medical administration education preferred but not required.) Candidates with previous medical office experience preferred, but will consider candidates with other applicable experience that have multi-tasking ability, are detailed oriented and have excellent customer service skills. Medical Billing experience is a plus, but not required. Duties include: *Day-to-day coordination of our clinical work, specifically: *Welcoming patients into our clinic *Ensuring our patients have a comfortable, respectful experience *Scheduling patients before and after treatments *Receiving and returning phone calls from prospective patients, fellow professionals, and the general public *Checking insurance benefits and accurately assessing benefits in order to collect payments, as well as completing daily reconciliation of payments received *Communicating accurate information to our patients, staff, and providers in a timely manner *Rooming patients, cleaning rooms & changing treatment table sheets between treatments *Other assignments that may arise related to these work duties. Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Evenings and WEEKENDS are REQUIRED. This position is for IN PERSON/ON SITE WORK ONLY *Excellent customer service skills *A high degree of detail orientation, self-motivation, organizational and multi-tasking ability *Excellent ability to complete tasks despite the interruptions of busy front desk work *Exemplify excellence in both written and verbal communication: *With our employers and among fellow staff, providers, patients, insurance companies and their agents, etc. *Enjoy working with and serving the full diversity of our community *Openness to a flexible work schedule is essential; particularly the ability to cover for other Medical Receptionists to fill for both pre-scheduled Vacation leave and potentially sudden PTO (Personal Time Off) leave (including on weekends), or to shift permanent work days to a different schedule of days, including regular weekend days if needed and agreed upon. *Demonstrate reasonable longevity in past work experience *Experience with Mac computers and knowledge of web-based medical practice management databases preferred *Typing speed: 50WPM accurately (may be tested) Candidates with the following skills and abilities are encouraged to apply (preferred but not required): Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish Successful experience working in another medical setting, whether allopathic ("Western") medical setting or another natural medicine clinic. Medical Billing Experience is also a positive, but not required. PAY, BENEFITS & LEAVE: $20.00 - $17.00 starting full-time, depending on education, experience, and demonstrated skills.
