Front Desk Receptionist Position Open at Harmonizing Healthcare, Flagstaff AZ



Harmonizing Healthcare is looking for a take-charge front desk receptionist who loves talking to people and is passionate about helping as many people as possible with alternative medicine, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal therapy. This is an exciting opportunity for a heart-centered person with a natural talent for making people feel at home and cared for to help an acupuncture & herbal medicine clinic with a big mission. Experience with holistic businesses (acupuncturists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, massage therapists, energy healers, health/wellness coaches) or experience in a medical office setting is required.

Through working together, we will be able to help more people live the life they are wanting with less pain and higher well-being. Our mission at Harmonizing Healthcare is to optimize the health, well-being, and quality of life of every person that walks through the door. The co-owner and acupuncturist Brittany Petrick was a Registered Nurse for over 9 years and found that healthcare needed more focus on preventative care and treating health concerns at the very root to truly make an impact on each individual life. Therefore, we dig deep into each individual life, looking at their diet, lifestyle choices, emotions, and social support system. Patients are given a Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and then emailed written treatment plans, giving them the option to make necessary dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, Chinese herbs, supplements, and acupuncture to guide them back into balance. Our clinic has a full granular pharmacy to make customized herbal formulas, supplements, pill form Chinese herbs, and retail space. We serve all ages, from infants to geriatrics, and make the clinic a very family friendly environment. You will work with 4 acupuncture practitioners who are very passionate about this medicine and bridging this medicine to the Western world. We treat both cash-pay and insurance-based patients.

Work days and hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8am to 5pm. The schedule and times can vary based on practitioners schedule/time off. We are closed on all major Holidays. We are looking for someone who is available and flexible. There is a possibility of adding a Saturday shift down the road.

What You Will Be Doing/Role Description

:
1. Answering the phone
2. Scheduling patients
3. Checking out patients (using Square POS)
4. Checking in retail products and placing into inventory and then stocking them on shelves
5. Doing laundry (sheets) for the clinic.
6. Helping patients, answering questions, and making them feel at home
7. Attention to detail
8. Calling insurance companies and checking insurance benefits
9. Working with the VA- Community Care Network to schedule VA insurance patients, communicate appointments with the VA clinic, and submitting medical records when requested.

Requirements:



*Office assistant or front desk receptionist experience.
Experience with medical offices and insurance billing preferred.

*Computer savvy

*Strong oral communication skills

Warm personality
Vehicle that can drive in snow and comfortable driving in all weather
