About the position This is a great opportunity to work in one of the few remaining private internal medicine practices in Chittenden County. We provide high quality health care in a smaller, personal setting with a focus on patient centered care. Position Summary The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties. Duties include greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients/families; scheduling, registration, scanning and faxing of medical documents, prior authorization of diagnostic tests and medications. This is a position requiring excellent customer service skills. It is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians. Minimum Requirements One year clerical and/or receptionist experience; or 6 months in a medical setting preferred One year of customer service experience Experience is preferred but training is available for a motivated candidate. Education/Licenses/Certifications Post High School Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits:
