Job Description

Oregon Trail Eye Center is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills who values excellence, teamwork, and will thrive in a dynamic medical office. They need to be professional, as well as diligent and reliable. This Receptionist will cross-train to support additional Revenue Cycle positions creating opportunity for growth and advancement. Training is both on-line and on-the-job. These are subject to change as the organization evolves. This is an hourly position that reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle.

Responsibilities:

Check-in patients and assist with registrations

Check-out patients and collect payment for services

Answer and direct incoming calls

Schedule appointments

Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and in writing

Complete education and/or training as required

Compliance with Oregon Trail Eye Center policies, insurance company policies, and state and federal regulations

Preferred qualifications:

Medical office experience

NextGen experience

Minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong interpersonal skills

Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
