MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/BILLING

Mature, responsible, dependable, customer oriented person, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail needed for busy physician's office. The receptionist makes the 'first and most lasting impression' of the practice and must be able to represent the physician professionally and to the highest standard. We are a small private practice requiring flexibility with the ability to triage and take vital signs.

Responsibilities and Duties

Front desk responsibilities include answering/routing multi-line telephone calls, appointment scheduling, able to explain patient balances to include copays/deductibles/coinsurance, and out of pockets, filing, phone triage, collecting patient payments, and data entry.

Weekly hours: Monday thru Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm. Pay is commensurate with experience. Experience with paper chart and electronic documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

Must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a physician's office to be considered; this is not an entry level position

Must have a minimum of 2 years previous patient collections, ICD-10, charge entry, denied/rejected claim resolution

Phone triage

Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Smoking is not allowed on site
