Responsibilities



Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule patient appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks, including Medicare and other third-party payers. Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with professionalism and clarity. Manage multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records by updating demographics, documenting visits, and reviewing documentation for completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems). Verify insurance information Support clinic operations by coordinating medical scheduling, managing front desk activities, and handling intake procedures for new patients. Ensure compliance with health information management standards while maintaining confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette Experience working in a healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology, documentation review processes, and health information management practices a plus. Strong organizational skills combined with clerical experience in filing, scheduling, and front desk operations.
